Art Exhibition “Universe of Dreams”

Joint exhibition of Riihimäe and Kiviõli art schools in Kiviõli 3.3.–24.3.2026
Initiative to organize joint exhibitions of Kiviõli and Riihimäe art schools
on both sides of the Gulf of Finland, the Riihimäe Finnish-Estonian Association was born
in the spring of 2025. Two common themes "Dreams
The first of the exhibitions based on the universe" took place in Riihimäe
in the party hall of the People's University 16.-28.11.2025. The second exhibition will take place in Kiviõli in 2026.
in March.
Exhibition theme "Universe of dreams"
The work of each young artist is a unique universe of dreams, where the intertwining
thoughts, dreams and imagination. The works of the exhibition reflect the youth
inner worlds, true desires and personal dreams. But maybe even
future visions?
Each work gives the viewer the opportunity to experience the freedom and limitlessness of youth
imagination. The dream universe is a world where fantasy gives
life to art.
The exhibition features the works of students aged 7-18, mainly drawings and
paintings. The students of Riihimäe Art School exhibit their works for the first time
times outside the borders of Finland.
At the Riihimäe art school, visual art techniques are learned in a variety of ways and
consistently. The school offers art education based on a broad curriculum of visual arts
basic course for children and young people aged 7–18. Art education is purposeful
and moves from level to level. The curriculum includes traditional
ways of representation: drawing, painting and sculpting. Later in your studies
photography, graphics, ceramics and 3D design will be added in the next stage.
