Career cafe VOL 1: How to turn military service into an experience that supports your goals?
In Estonia, most young men have to go through military service, but it is increasingly a conscious choice for young women as well. The question is not only about the obligation, but how to shape it into an experience that supports your personal goals and future.
I'm Gregor – an active young man from Jõhvi municipality, whose heart is an informed and strong Estonian national defense. Inspired by this, in cooperation with a mentor and with the support of several partners, I have launched the youth project "Journey to a conscious will to defend!", which aims to help young people better understand their role, opportunities and choices in the context of national defense.
I invite young people aged 13-19 to take part in the first meeting of the cafe-style discussion series, where the guest is Rene Rässa – youth policy area manager of the Defense Resources Agency and national defense teacher.

❗️Väga oluline! 15 young people have the opportunity to go on a summer trip to Naissaari. The more actively you participate in the discussion series, the greater your chance of being selected – the advantage is for those who take part in all three meetings – including in May (discussion topic: Defense Academy and how to make a fit career?) and June (discussion topic: drones in the defense industry), the dates of which we will announce soon.
