Opening of the exhibition:
“Green Design Lab.
Fantasy does not go in the trash” (art created by children based on the principles of the circular economy)
Where does the old box go?
Hint: it becomes art.

We have seen hundreds of exhibitions in Rugodiv Cultural Center in Narva, but this one is special. Young creators from Kohtla-Järve Loomemaja will visit us, and we really hope that Narva will warmly welcome them.
We are talking about the Green DisainiLABOR circle and its supervisor, designer Jelena Epinantjeva. A simple but important magic happens here: in the hands of children, recycled materials cease to be an “environmental problem” and become art.
While we adults discuss sorting and sustainable consumption, children simply take cardboard, old fabrics and papier-mâché and use them to create honest, vibrant and surprising works of art.
Come on March 14 with the whole family. This is a great opportunity to:
• See the world through children’s eyes. Where we see packaging or trash, they see a form, an idea, and the future of an object. These discoveries have become conceptual sculptures and interior elements that can (and are worth!) exploring at the exhibition.
• Meet Jelena Epinantjeva. A designer with international experience (from Tallinn Fashion Week to Italy) has chosen the path of a mentor. The way he combines environmental awareness and high aesthetics and passes it on to children is an art form in itself.
• Understand slow fashion and upcycling in practice. Feel the energy when things that would otherwise go in the trash get a new life.
• Be not only a viewer, but also a co-author!
We invite you to step out of the role of the usual spectator.
Bring an unnecessary piece of textile or fabric — we will create a large art panel together at the exhibition.
Each visitor can weave their part into a common work of art.
Where does the old box go? It becomes part of the story we write together.
Photo and video recording will take place at the event.
Participation is free.
The event will be held in Russian.
See you in Rugodivi!
