Jaak Joala 75 concert tour “The sun still shines”
aak Joala (1950–2014) was one of Estonia's most beloved singers. The songs that sound in his performance still live in the hearts of many, being a bridge between several generations. To celebrate Joala's 75th birthday and to keep the musical heritage alive, nine concerts will be held throughout Estonia in the spring.
Concert tour "The sun still shines" brings to the audience a selection of songs sung famously by Jaak Joala, to which several generations of Estonians have grown up. The concert is named after Joala's song, which appeared on the album "Minu elu" (1982).
Jaak Joala's songs are performed by the Estonian National Opera Boys' Choir Male Quintet . The musical signature of the ensemble is inspired by the songs from the songs known by the Estonian Radio Male Quartet of the sixties.
The songs performed by young musicians with subtle humor sound in fresh pop-jazz arrangements, emphasizing the melodic and lyrical nature that characterizes Joala's songs.
