Community creative activities of Jõhvi municipality, corner of the design gallery

LITERATURE TENT – Jõhvi Central Library organizes three discussion meetings in the literature tent as part of LoomeÖÖ, where Tiia Linnard, the development manager of the library, talks to the guests. According to him, all the guests are very well-read and interested individuals.

at 17:00 the audience meets Jaan Martinson, who reads nearly 200 books a year and is a well-known crime fiction expert. His annual ranking of crime novels is an important recommendation for many readers.

at 18:00 Mari-Liis Mägi, an alumnus of Jõhvi High School, is visiting – a clinical forensic psychologist and neuropsychologist who has also contributed to scientific literature in Estonian.

at 19:00 Aet Kiisla, lecturer at Narva College, will take part in the discussion, whose reading is based on scientific research. He is also the author of Jooksja magazine and a well-known ultra runner.

We invite everyone to discover the unique character of Jõhvi municipality through the visitor game "Place of Pleasant Encounters".

Participants move around different places in the municipality, discover local life and stories, and record their visits using QR codes directly at the event locations.

The away game takes place over three days and is related to various events in the region:

On June 3, the Kohtla-Nõmme community party will welcome participants in the community garden,

On June 4, the initiative will continue in Jõhvi with a movement dedicated to the day of the Estonian flag at the Heino Flag Stadium and

On June 7, it culminates in a big summer family day in Toila.

On these days, many regional institutions and organizations open their doors to anyone interested. Visitors can enjoy history tours and classes that tell local stories and help discover the area's rich heritage. Prizes will be drawn among the most active participants, which will be presented on June 7 at the Toila beach concert.
