Mikael Meema in the Jõhvi Concert House – “much about nothing” tour
Mikael Meema's 2026 stand-up tour "much about nothing"
Estonian stand-up comedy grand old man Sander Õigus has characterized Mikael as someone who talks about nothing, but is still funny. Inspired by this, the name of the 2026 tour was born – "a lot of nothing". It's guaranteed to be an hour of stories that don't form any coherent whole, and are unlikely to make you ponder the meaning of life for several nights. There is already an oversaturation of opinion leaders these days, come and listen to someone who talks about nothing for a change.
Does anyone even read these event descriptions? You're probably still reading when you've reached this sentence. So let's put a few more words in a row. Mikael Meema's "much about nothing" promises classic purebred stand-up comedy. Cable, microphone, comedian, jokes. Is the material new? Yes. Or well, it depends on what's new for you. In his previous solo tours, Mikael did not make these jokes. If you have been to events like "Ari and Friends" or "Huumoriklubi Huumoriabi", you may have heard a few stories, but not all of them. It would be impossible, because Mikael was on stage for 10 minutes on the previous ones, but 60 minutes on his own tour. And if you happen to have been to every open mic event in the last two years, then you should already know what you did, because the purpose of such evenings is to practice and polish new ideas ready for the tour.
*****
Mikael Meema is an Estonian stand-up comedian, one of the founders of Huumoriklubi and perhaps also a familiar face from former Comedy Estonia tours. You may have heard his voice on the "Pussy Eaters" or "Mikael and Mikker" podcasts. Perhaps you have seen his previous masterpieces, such as "LOOD" (2022), "Valerian" (2023), "Mikael the Archangel" (2024), "HOUR" (2025).
