Poetry Evening “Out of Role”

The project "Short Encounters" opens the door to a space where the usual boundaries of the stage disappear. This evening, Dmitry Kosyakov, an actor of the Sudalinna Theater, will appear before you not only in the role you are used to, but also in a much more personal and unexpected role – as a poet and artist.

The focus of the evening is author's poetry.

Lively and honest, without embellishment. A poem that has it all: subtle irony, accurate observations, vulnerability and inner strength. This is not just a reading – it is a conversation in the language of rhythm and pauses, which can only be born when meeting the author face to face.

But the evening does not end there.

After the poetry part, the meeting continues with an open conversation about the theater and what lies outside the theater world – the actor's profession, self-searching and how thoughts and ideas are born. Dmitry Kosyakov talks about what usually remains behind the scenes:

about the creative process, doubts, inspiration and the interweaving of different art forms in one person's life.

The evening also has another important accent – a chamber painting exhibition.

The paintings created by the author himself become a visual continuation of the conversation. This is a rare opportunity to see the artist's visual world, which usually remains hidden from the public.
