SCOTLAND. Spring camp in Narva fortress (RUS)

During the spring break, Narva Castle turns into a real adventure land for children aged 7-10. Welcome to our Skautlandia!

The spring camp introduces children to the adventurous world of scouts: participants learn to orient themselves according to the map, practice teamwork, look for clues and find solutions together. Children discover the hidden places of the Narva fortress and acquire useful skills step by step. Together we learn to notice traces, sounds and changes in nature, we talk about how to preserve the surrounding environment and why it is important.

Every day, part of the program takes place in the fresh air.

Each camp day is full of movement, creative activities, new experiences and joint discoveries. Children can try different roles and learn to cooperate with each other.

And of course we make sure that the children have a hot lunch every day!

It is no coincidence that the tickets for the previous camp in Narva Fortress were sold out very quickly. A few days in the historical fortress under the guidance of experienced guides is a great way to spend the school holidays actively, in the fresh air and in an atmosphere of real adventure.

We recommend booking the entire five-day camp exchange. First of all, a stronger team spirit develops and the children themselves are more interesting. Second, if your child only comes for one day and really likes it (which is quite likely!), it may happen that, unfortunately, we are unable to offer him a place for the following days.

Trackers

On the first day, we get to know our group and spend the morning playing with new friends. The fort’s exhibitions and the team quiz help you get to know the history of the homestead and the scouting tradition better. At the end of the day, we make badges for our squad.

Beaver cubs

We use our imagination and scouting skills to build structures from branches and ropes found in nature. We will learn to tie strong knots and create durable structures – be it a camping chair, an observation platform or even a bridge. After lunch, we will immerse ourselves in history and find out how the masters of Old Narva built wooden structures. At the end of the day, we build a catapult for a friendly competition.

Sea wolves

We will get to know the specifics of sea scouting and learn something about the seafaring history of our region. We will learn how to transmit and decipher ciphers, orient ourselves by the stars and find out how the ancient seafarers measured time. We make a sundial and a compass and play team games with sea knots.

Forest trails

Hermann’s tower turns into a mysterious forest, where we go to wander with our squad. Let’s find out which animals and birds live in Estonian forests and what it means to be a friend of nature. At the end of the day, a campsite with a tent awaits us. We recall well-known folk games and each participant can teach others their favorite game.

Go for a hike!

We will go on a hike around the museum to look for the hidden secrets of Narva Castle. Maps, compasses and binoculars are helpful. Games that develop attention, memory and orientation skills await us. After completing the entire route and the obstacle course, a sweet surprise awaits the group and a picnic in the courtyard of the castle or indoors. In memory of the camp, we will make a name bracelet.
