What is PUNAMAGI?
It is an old Slavic spring holiday celebrated after Easter. It symbolizes the awakening of nature, love and the beginning of a new life. Traditionally, people gathered on this day to sing, dance, play folk games and hold weddings — it was believed that families created on this day are especially happy.
