Svetlana Rodionova Harpsichord. Early music in Narva Town Hall
Svetlana Rodionova stands out for her versatile creative work. She has participated in various projects as a musician, singer, arranger, composer and improviser, playing historical instruments.
As a child, he graduated from a music school majoring in piano, and later studied choir conducting at a music college. In 2021, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in traditional music at EMTA, he also improved himself in piano playing, composition, improvisation and baroque singing. In 2009, he founded his own ensemble, the duet Muzykanty Vetra (wind musicians), which operated until 2022. The ensemble performed early music, folk music and Svetlana’s own creations on historical instruments. As a solo singer, Svetlana has created and performed concert programs such as “Meremehe lugu” (played at Viru Folk in 2021), where music and song intertwine in a concert performance, and “Smooth sounds and lullabies”, where lullabies from different countries are performed in the original languages with translation into Estonian.
At the moment, Svetlana is studying the harpsichord at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater under the guidance of Prof. Imbi Tarum. He has participated in various early music projects in Estonia and Finland and improved his skills in the 2023-24 academic year at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki under the guidance of Annamari Pölhö.
