The exhibition “The apple blossom of our country, the blood red of other countries – 100 years of Inger Finns”.

Jõhvi concert house

11.05.-19.06.2026.

The exhibition, based mainly on home photo albums, tells the story of Inger Finns

of a complicated fate for about a hundred years.

Most of the Inger Finns suffered a more or less similar fate, throwing them into the Second

during the World War scattered to the territories of the former Soviet Union, in addition to Finland and Sweden. But

there are also exceptional life courses, which you can often get to know very well

arranged in the pages of family albums.

Creating the entire exhibition turned out to be quite a complex task, because of so many things

not a single photo of the historical episode has been preserved in the photo albums of the Inger Finns. More fluently

to achieve the narrative and fill in the gaps is accommodated in each panel of the exhibition

an encyclopedic summary of the period in question.

The exhibition was prepared by Taisto-Kalevi, chairman of the board of the Estonian Academic Ingerimaa Society

Raudalainen and designed by photographer Herkki-Erich Merila.

The preparation of the exhibition was supported by the Finland 100 program of the State Chancellery of the Republic of Finland
