Narva actively collaborates with travel agencies and the press, who are interested in tourism potential of the city and the surroundings. In 2019 the city welcomed 11 FAM tours for both local and foreign travel agencies, journalists and bloggers.

Narva actively participates in local and international tourism events. In cooperation with Ida-Virumaa tourism cluster the city is traditionally represented on annual tourist fairs Tourest in Tallinn and MATKA in Helsinki. Throughout a number of years Narva along with Narva and Narva-Jõesuu tourism enterprises took part in the international tourist fair Baltour in Riga.
Russia is an important target market for Narva and to attract tourists and establish contact with travel agencies the city participates in seminars in Moscow, St. Petersburg for tourism professionals, which are organized by Enterprise Estonia (Ettevõtluse Arendamise Sihtasutus, or EAS, in Estonian).
