Concert “Mostly Bach”

Mostly Bach. Tähe-Lee and friends

On 20 September at 6 pm, Johann Sebastian Bach’s keyboard concertos will be performed at the historic Narva Town Hall by pianist Tähe-Lee Liiv and a string quartet.

Joining Tähe-Lee on stage will be:

Olga Voronova – violin

Yana Mägila – violin

Toomas Nestor – viola

Levi-Danel Mägila – cello

Johann Sebastian Bach’s music is one of the cornerstones of Western musical culture, combining a rigorous sense of form, profound expressive power and virtuosic mastery. The concert will feature his iconic keyboard concertos, revealing the many facets of Bach’s music — from dramatic tension and virtuosity to radiant festivity and lyrical depth.

“Mostly Bach” continues Tähe-Lee Liiv’s concert series, which began in late 2025 with the programme “Mostly Mozart” and continued in the first half of 2026 with “Mostly Mendelssohn”.

Tähe-Lee Liiv is one of the most distinguished Estonian pianists of her generation. She has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras in Estonia and abroad, and during the 2024–2025 season she took part in “Building Bridges”, a programme curated by Sir András Schiff that introduces young pianists. In 2023, her debut album featuring Arvo Pärt’s complete piano works was released, and in 2026, her second album, dedicated to Finnish piano music, will be released on the Da Vinci Classics label.
