Concert “Mozart 270”
The programme of the Narva Symphony Orchestra, dedicated to the 270th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, presents three episodes from the composer’s brilliant yet remarkably short creative journey: the First Symphony, written by the eight-year-old child prodigy; the famous Concerto for Flute and Harp, composed when Mozart was 22 and attempting to win back the favour of European aristocratic salons; and arias and duets from his operatic masterpieces created during the final four years of his life in Vienna.
The concert features the prize-winning twin sisters Susanne and Lisanne Rull, laureates of the Olari Elts Award. According to Maestro Elts, “Susanne is a flautist with fantastic technique and a rich tone, while Lisanne’s expressive sound, attention to detail and quick reactions are truly admirable.”
Soprano Valeria Ergardt and bass Stanislav Shelyakhovsky began their musical education in Ida-Viru County. Valeria completed her Master’s degree at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in the vocal class of Arete Kerge. She maintains an active concert career, combining Baroque and Classical repertoire.
Stanislav Shelyakhovsky completed his Master’s degree at EMTA under the guidance of Mati Turi. He collaborates with the Estonia and Vanemuine opera theatres, performs as a member of the Estonian National Male Choir and the Rejoice ensemble, and is actively involved in chamber music concerts.
