Days of Arvo Pärt: concert MISSA

The early music ensemble Hortus Musicus has been cultivating the garden of music for over 50 years, starting in 1972 in Soviet-era conditions to explore the world of pre-Bach music. In addition to this, the ensemble has constantly kept its hand on the pulse of its contemporary compositions and has been a close companion of Arvo Pärt in his search for a new style and at the birth of it. A non-standard, creative attitude has characterized the activities of Hortus Musicus since the beginning. In this year's Pärt Days program, they interweave Arvo Pärt's works with Mozarabic song and Spanish Renaissance music. Estonian National Opera mezzo-soprano Aule Urb will perform as a soloist.
