Feature film “Pig Kill”

The second full-length feature film by the director of Kalevi, Ove Musting, Pig Slaughter, is a story that was born from life itself. The action of the film unfolds just before Christmas in a small village in southern Estonia, where an inexperienced veterinary officer arrives who wants to end a case of suspected swine fever as soon as possible. The official's somehow interpreted decisions, according to which all domestic animals must be destroyed immediately, trigger more and more absurd events in the village. The film is spiced with a lot of black humor, and it is probably one of the last films where we see animals and people still interacting with each other in this form.
