International Music Day: Kristjan Lume, Anastasiia Cherniak and the Narva Symphony Orchestra

Soloists Anastasiia Cherniak (oboe), Kristjan Lume (flute) and the Narva Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Anatoli Štšurа, invite the audience to celebrate International Music Day with a festive and exciting journey through the ages and musical styles – from the court music of the Habsburgs and Louis XIV to the works of 20th-century composers.

Anastasiia Chernjak is a graduate of the Gnesin Specialised Music School in Moscow and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre; she is a laureate of the ‘New Names’ competition, a participant in the ‘Homecoming’ festival, and has performed in Finland, Italy, Germany and Australia. She currently works with the Vanemuine Theatre Symphony Orchestra and the Narva Symphony Orchestra.

Kristjan Lume obtained a Bachelor’s degree in ‘Performing Arts’ and a Master’s degree in ‘Chamber Music’ from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. He has collaborated with many of Estonia’s leading orchestras. Since 2025, he has been a member of the flute section of the Vanemuine National Theatre Symphony Orchestra. Alongside his concert activities, Kristjan Lume works as the head of the teaching department in the music section at Kose Leisure School.
