Propaganda and History: Can They Be Separated?

Kuigi võib tunduda, et propaganda on suhteliselt hiljuti kujunenud nähtus, ei vasta see tegelikult tõele. Inimestel on läbi aegade olnud keeruline teha vahet faktidel ja väärinfol. Tänapäeval, mil info levib tehisaru, sotsiaalmeedia ja ülikiirete infokanalite kaudu enneolematu kiirusega, on see tõenäoliselt raskem kui kunagi varem. Samas on paljud propagandale omased mustrid jäänud ajas samaks. A lecture us vaatleme propaganda peamisi tunnuseid ajaloolisest vaatenurgast ning uurime, millised selle jooned on püsinud muutumatuna läbi sajandite.

Ivan Lavrentyev is a communication expert with more than ten years of experience in the public sector and consulting work. He has held leading positions in the field of communication in the Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia, the Ministry of Climate and the City of Tallinn and advised companies, NGOs and cultural institutions. He has obtained degrees in history and political science and is currently studying for a doctorate at the University of Tartu. He also conducts trainings in three languages ​​and holds public lectures on the topics of communication, politics and media literacy both in Estonia and internationally.
