Narva-Jõesuu excursion – history of the retro resort and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city (EST)
The Narva Museum invites all interested parties to a fascinating excursion in Narva-Jõesuu. The resort with the longest sandy beaches in Estonia is a unique place where the beauty of nature, peace and rich cultural heritage meet.
Sometimes we want to take a break from everyday life, enjoy peace and relax in a place where time seems to stand still. Located on the shores of the Baltic Sea, Narva-Jõesuu is the perfect place to catch your breath, recharge your batteries and simply enjoy the moment. We walk along narrow streets, swing by old wooden villas, listen to stories carried by the sea breeze and interesting facts about the history of the development of the resort. We will find out what ailments were treated in water and mud spas, admire the landscape views that inspired famous artists and writers, and take a look at the history of Soviet-era sanatoriums, where it was considered particularly chic to get a tousian.
Narva-Jõesuu has long been known for its sandy beaches, pine forests and healthy sea air. It is a place to which people return again and again in search of silence, inspiration and refreshment of the spirit.
The excursion is suitable both for those who discover Narva-Jõesuu for the first time and for regular guests of the resort who want to get to know the city from a new angle.
