Queen of the night

"Queen of the Night" is a tedious story about the meeting of two very different people. Elli, who worked successfully as a singer in a famous opera theater in her youth, has to cope with life in Estonia after a tragic chain of events, witnessing her inevitable decline every day. An exciting scene starts when the young and handsome social worker Jakob appears on Elli's doorstep. A man called the Meme Man has his mystical role to play. Who is he? What things does he do and what role does he play at Elli's? The answers may be surprising.

Piret Jaaks's play speaks both humorously and tragically about the collision of feelings, thoughts and understandings, the repulsion and the fear of "the best before it's over" using the example of two different life destinies. Also about what will be left of us when we are gone.
