Special screening of the Viru Film Fund: “Epp Maria. Painting life”
ENG
Dear Film Lover!
You are warmly invited to a screening of "Epp Maria. Life in Paintings", a 2026 documentary portrait of the life of renowned Estonian painter Epp Maria Kokamägi.
The film invites viewers into the world created by artist Epp Maria Kokamägi at Sepamaa Farm – a place that is both picturesque and fairytale-like, yet entirely real, where life away from the hustle and bustle of the city follows the rhythm of nature.
This world is shared not only by Epp Maria herself but also by her talented and skilful husband Jaak Arro and their children – gallery owner and ceramic artist Liisu Arro, beloved cookbook author and café owner Anni Arro, and cinematographer and photographer Johannes Arro – together with their families and pets.
Together, they resemble one big, colourful Italian family that has put down roots among the coastal junipers of Tõstamaa. Each of them, in their own unique way, shares beauty and the joy of life through their creative work.
There will be a film quiz.
Running time: 1h 24m
The film is in Estonian with English subtitles.
