The play “Selik, seconds and records”

Stage story based on Enn Sellik’s running career.

If you are passionate about sports and you are always a faster runner than others, you also want to test yourself in competitions. The Soviet Union during the Cold War once again sees the achievements of its athletes as an opportunity for communist propaganda.

What kind of unexpected situations could a boy from a small Estonian village get into, who, thanks to his talent and consistent training, reached the world’s sports elite in a few years, will be seen in the summer play “Sellik, seconds and records”. The play, in a comedy key, will be played at Ennu’s hometown Iisaku Lauluväljak for only four nights:

July 24 and 31 at 7:00 p.m.,

July 25 and 26 at 6:00 p.m

Author and director Rednar Annus, artist Riina Vanhanen, on stage Margus Prangel, Allan Kress, Hellar Bergmann, Kadri Lukk, Mari–Ann Usberg and other professional and amateur actors from Iisaku and Tallinn.
