The aim of the International Jõhvi Ballet Festival, which has been held since 2008, is to introduce dance enthusiasts to the exciting world of classical dance, to develop Estonian ballet education, to create new opportunities for cooperation, and to keep the cultural life of Ida-Viru County on an international level. Through classical dance, we wish to enliven and develop Ida-Viru County cultural life so that it could be a binding bridge for Estonian and Russian communities, as well as for Eastern and Western dance schools.
