Järuska sild

The Järuska wooden bridge, which was built in 2013, is the first roofed bridge in Estonia. The unique glued laminated timber structure combines engineering skills, architectural art, and traditional construction techniques (dovetail joints). The architecture resembles an outbuilding of Votes. The frame between the roof and the bridge is not only beautiful, but bears the weight of the bridge and is used instead of beams. Volunteers with carpentry experience from the USA, England, France, and Estonia participated in the construction of the bridge. You can also cross the Järuska bridge by car.
