Narva actively promoted itself at the Balttour 2026 and Tourest 2026 tourism fairs

17.02.2026

In early 2026, the city of Narva participated in two important international tourism fairs – Balttour in Riga and Tourest in Tallinn. On both occasions, Narva was represented at a joint stand with the Ida-Viru tourism cluster, emphasizing regional cooperation and a comprehensive image of the destination.

Balttour 2026 attracted over 20,000 visitors to Riga, including approximately 5,000 tourism professionals. The fair was attended by 310 exhibitors from 27 countries, confirming the international significance of the event. Tourest 2026 in Tallinn was held for the 33rd time and is one of the most important tourism events in the Baltics. At both fairs, Narva tourism information, brochures, and souvenirs were distributed, and special offers were presented.

For Narva, participating in fairs is not just about being present, but about consistent and targeted marketing in its main target markets. Direct communication with visitors and tourism professionals is invaluable – it provides an opportunity to introduce Narva as a versatile destination, talk about the city's history, cultural events, and new developments, and invite people to discover the city.

Feedback is equally important. Conversations with fair visitors help us better understand what appeals most about Narva, what experiences are expected, and what strengths should be emphasized more in marketing and development activities. Interest in Narva remains stable, and visits to the city are often considered in conjunction with other destinations in Ida-Viru County, which confirms the importance of regional cooperation.

Participation in international tourism fairs helps Narva maintain and strengthen its visibility in both nearby markets and the wider tourism network.
