The White hall of the oil shale museum, situated in the Järve district of Kohtla-Järve, was especially constructed to hold exhibitions. It opened in May 1983. Its exhibitions are primarily related to the visual arts, but it has also showcased handicrafts and photography. The hall has also hosted concerts, theatrical performances, presentations, training courses and receptions. Many of Estonia’s best known artists have exhibited their work in the hall.
